Rizik returns with the emotionally-fueled "Safe & Sound." Employing signature piano rhythms with spacious textures and orchestral arrangements, the song walks you through the emotional contrast between dark and light.

"I definitely went a bit more cinematic on this one," Rizik says. "While piano definitely drives this and most of my earlier records, I actually wouldn't call myself a full-on pianist. I play a lot of instruments and the act of playing is where the real fun of composition is for me."

As a fan of film scores, the addition of orchestral arrangements to Rizik's sound was only a matter of time.

"I love film and have countless scores etched into my brain over the years," he says. "I even view my own life as a film-in-progress; the hero's journey if you will. I listen to film scores and reapply them as soundtracks to my life... hopefully people recognize their own stories in this piece as well."
